Iranian forces beat the son of an opposition leader for five hours after events marking the 31st anniversary of the Islamic Republic.
The bearded men in plainclothes who grabbed Ali from a crowd of anti-regime protesters and hauled him to a nearby mosque had no idea who they had arrested.
It wasn't until the regime thugs had finished beating him and the 50 or so other young men they had rounded up that they checked his identity papers.

>>>”The mullahcratic thugs beat the snot out of the son of Mehdi Karroubi, the leader of the opposition Green Movement.”
This is NOTHING that has Not been done many times before post-Khomeini (note, Not Khamenei)!
In fact, I know firsthand of those who were beaten, raped, tortured & of course executed during the very first years when Mullah Karroubi’s master, Khomeini “father of Iranian Revolution” came to power in 1979.
Where was Mehdi Karroubi then to complain about the treatment of ordinary Iranians? Why is it that Karroubi still is hell bent on defending the Mullahcracy? Why does Karroubi still harp on about Khomeinist revolution? What makes Karroubi think that he and his incompetent Islamist flock can reform such as brutal regime?
If he and his ilks continue with their current stance of supporting IRI, I can only say that his son deserves the treatment at the hands of a regime which Karroubi was instrumental in bringing to power, AND still is in favor of. I can only ascertain he is sore about losing the election to Ahmadinejad.
