A Washington State Patrol trooper survived an attempted execution early Saturday morning, adding to law-enforcement fears that they are being targeted for violence.
Just after midnight, Trooper Scott Johnson, a decorated 25-year veteran, was processing the car of a drunken-driving suspect in downtown Long Beach, Pacific County, when a "scruffy-looking" man emerged out of the dark, according to the State Patrol.

About four months ago, an ex-Medford, OR police officer shot his ex-girl friend three times in the back with a shotgun on the beach in view of tourists and three Long Beach PD, officers.
The lastest incident involving WSP is troubling. Recently, Seattle PD had an ambush shooting, then the Parkland, WA shooting involving four!
I’d try to keep an eye out for the shooter but the newspaper “report” doesn’t mention his race, though it does state height, weight, etc.
Makes it kinda hard to narrow down the suspects.
No profiling allowed today HEM. But you’re correct in assuming that he wasn’t a white guy.
Hard to say though the driver was taken to LBPD for processing about 8 blocks from the shooting. Liability-wise I can't imagine kicking them loose.
Seems the Seattle Times intentionally left out the Amish ethnicity of the perp. What gives?

Not surprised to see this though, the idiotic war on drugs along with all the other storm trooper tactics has turned a lot of people against cops. Also, single motherhood is guaranteed to generate millions of thugs that have no respect for authority or much else for that matter. Looks like the perfect storm is coming.
Yeah, you know how to call 'em. Those dispicable storm troopers getting a drunk off the road that could maim or kill an innocent! Geez!
Without them there would be anarchy. Bad-mouth them until you really need one and then they put their life on the line.

WTH is going on in Washington?!?! Didn’t they have 6 cops shot a month or two back?
