"Get ready for 10 buck a gallon gas and another recession at least for awhile"

Yes, the consequences will be SEVERE. However, not as severe as Iran with the bomb and the means to deliver it.

$10 gas? Easily. We'd be taking 3.5mil bbl/day off the market from Iran alone, not to mention the tankers that would have to steer clear of the Gulf for week if not months.

The impact to the global economy would be enormous. Nearly back-breaking.

If we do this, we should do it conclusively so that the world can start it's recovery as soon as possible.

Someone should sit down and recalculate the consequence of a nuclear strike on a major US city, and then begin to consider the costs of taking control of the situation by whatever means.

in the past, the effects of a nuclear strike were so devastating, that the US took any required actions to prevent it.

Have we sunk so low as a nation that we have lost control of our destiny??
