It does appear that even the CA state government realizes that taxing the “wealthy” will not increase tax revenue because business owners and entrepreneurs will simply move to places like Nevada and Texas. To find more revenue, the progressives are being forced to tax the middle class by these “non-progressive” taxes/fees. I wonder if CA will try to enact some form of state VAT as well. The only silver lining is that as increased taxes affects more people, the greater the anti-tax sentiment will become.
Time for another tax revolt CA!

The only silver lining is that as increased taxes affects more people, the greater the anti-tax sentiment will become.

The increased tax will not hit the real problem -- the welfare drones.

Oh, theoretically they will have to pay it, but the nanny state will just increase their welfare payments to make up for it.
