The University of Alabama biology professor accused of slaying three of her colleagues fatally shot her brother in an apparent accident in Massachusetts more than two decades ago, a local police chief said.

Might have to look into that earlier incident a little
better.
good thing she’s out of there before she shot her students
I think we’ll see an insanity defense.
Heard on the news this morning it may have been related to tenure...she has been fighting for tenure for 2 years..
Man, I knew tenure was coveted by professors, but mass murder?
Sounds like Mom might have covered up for her daughter.
Maybe it’s just me but, if I had ever accidentally shot & killed someone, I doubt that I would ever touch a gun again. Makes me wonder if the first incident was really an accident.
The 1986 fatal *accident* as described sounds like a story concocted by the mother and daughter. Strange too, how the younger brother was perhaps more accomplished.
There should be a full investigation.
How was she able to have a gun license?
She’ll get tenured (or ten years) in state prison
Guilty.
I agree, another look at the first shooting is warranted.
You’d think that after the first shooting, that is, if it had been accidental, she wouldn’t want to be around guns at all.
I wonder if the first shooting really wasn’t accidental, but since she got away with it then she thought she would get away with it this time.
Either way, she’s in Alabama now, not Massachusetts. An insanity defence might work to keep her off death row, but it’s unlikely she’ll see the light of day anytime soon.
Is it just me, or do all liberals look alike?
Even more, Walker notes that she might have been a "fish out of water" on the UAH campus given her Ivy-League roots and her fairly liberal ideologies. More from her students:
After classes ended last spring, a RateMyProfessors.com user said Bishop "is hot but she tries to hide it.And she is a socalist but she only talks about it after class." In 2008, someone described her on the site by saying: "she's a liberal from Hahvahd' and let's you know exactly how she feels about particular subjects."
Finally, Walker found that she was a member of the "Clergy Letter Project," which is devoted to connecting scientists with clergy members who "have questions about the science associated with all aspects of evolution."

Well, you know how entitled the average liberal feels.
Definitely a "separated at birth" with Emo Phillips
Poor woman! Those darn guns just keep going off! /s
LOL - I was thinking the same thing. I truly believe it's their deep seated hatred that gets manifested in their outward appearance...and behaviour.
. . .yes, nothing like muderously adding three more notches to give one pause re the first.
It was reported that she was crying/screaming, that they 'could not be dead'. Stuart Varney/FOXNS thought she was alluding to a possible 'someone else'. I concluded she was already prepping for her defense. (She only meant to scare them(?). . .'wing them'(?); superficially, of course. ..) Or; she MEANT to kill herself!
Well; she may be stupid; but she is a smart stupid. She never planned to waste ALL her education; even though 'stupid wins' and smart loses all here.
But, but ... she went to Harvard. Clearly she is enlightened and would not kill anyone without just reasons!
