HUNTSVILLE, AL -- Three people are dead after a shooting at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
A shooter opened fire around 4 p.m. at the Shelby Center, located on the campus of UAH. The shooting occured during a UAH biology faculty meeting.
Three people who were shot to death were all members of the faculty, UAH spokesman Ray Garner said.
Of the three people injured, two were also faculty members and the third was a member of the university staff. No students were involved in the incident, Garner said.
Dr. Amy Bishop, a Harvard-trained neuroscientist was taken into custody. Her husband has been detained. They have not been charged with a crime.
Tragic, but predictable. This is what occasionally happens when law-abiding citizens are not permitted to be armed for their own protection in “polite society”. The nutjobs and criminals will always have an unfair advantage.
Good Grief!

How ironic.
talk about a bad hair day
Very unusual... gun, woman.
The authorities think so as well. So they detained the husband too, just in case.
Prayers for Roy Spencer and others there.
When will people ever learn------ Prayers for all involved.
All she wanted was Tenure...
