teaparty.org. I looked at it a bit and couldn’t find any racist remarks, or anything that looked anti-tea-party, but I didn’t look very hard.
He did attack Sarah Palin for her support of John McCain, so obviously he will be skewered by some people. But he was disliked before that, apparently for that sign, although that looks like a teachable moment, not a game-changer. Unless he was shouting racist stuff.
“Dale Robertson is a family man living in Texas with his wife and five children. He is a retired military officer having served in the Marines and the Navy. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Washington in Political Science, as well as an Associates Degree in Engineering from Southwest College. Dale Robertson is volunteering full-time for the Tea Party.”
He apparently started something he calls “teaparty.org”, and considers himself the President of it. I’m not sure how you know who is “in” the tea party. They don’t seem highly organized.
See 15, the same picture from his website except the sign is different.
According to his web site, he started the organization and the web site back in 2004. If true, it’s hard to justify attacking him for horning in on the tea party movement.
“I found such a vehicle in the original intent of the 1773 Tea Party. In 2004 www.teaparty.org was created and I used that site to announce my one man protests in Washington. I incorporated my dream, filed paperwork for the name Tea Party and did everything I could to push the idea of a new American revolution, not of war, but of will, the will of the people. “
The photo on his website looks edited.
