OK, I’ve gotten to “both sides now”, and I played my daughter the original version with Judy Collins, and my daughter said it was too upbeat, and she liked the John Barrowman version better.

Yes, John Barrowman, Jack Harkness from Dr. Who and Torchwood. Although I didn’t make that connection, even though my daughter is always talking about Captain Jack, and has me watching Dr. Who to catch up to watch Torchwood.
He also does cover songs, which I think sound like elevator music, but my daughter likes it.
Thought it was Canadian engineering! Last thing they did was the shuttle arm.
Actually, I think he does musicals on the London stage. He’s also what they would call a “poofter”, and makes no bones about it.
