Port St. Lucie's school system has an interesting way of dealing with disruptive students.
The same school district that allowed an autistic boy to be voted out of kindergarten class for being a bit unruly has a far worse penalty for 6-year-old little girls.
Handcuffs and straight jackets.

The school could administer a good old spanking, but I imagine the legal fees and civil award wouldn’t be worth it.
School’s are hog-tied. The cops are really the only alternative given the current legal climate.
That’s just too **** much! This stuff is out of hand!!!
The girl just needs a darn spanking. Handcuffs?! ADULT Mental hospital?! That’s less damaging than an old fashioned paddling?! Flippin’ crazy world we are in!
This article makes me fume! Public education sucks!
(sic)
"Journalism," such as it is, couldn't catch this typo in a report of a report?
♥ 'Dem Gubmint Skools!
The schools have violent mentally retarded children (now misclassified as “autistic’) dumped into the classrooms by lawsuits.
The schools are totally unable to to care for these often dangerous, biting, assaultive children.
This is the spell check generation. If it’s a word, it passes muster.
Does the school have kiddie cuffs?
I would say another reason to Homeschool, but we see how that went yesterday. :)
You mean “time out” doesn’t work???? Really, she, and, evidently her parents, need a good old fashioned spanking.
How can you say that? Public schools are great!
Only a wonderful public (government) school system with a strong union presence could let a middle-aged homosexual man who advocates sexualizing little kids be rewarded with a high-level Democrat administration job, while an unruly six year-old girl gets to be cuffed and stuffed in an adult mental institution.
It's for the children, dammit!

And then they put her in a “straight,” as opposed to curly, jacket. Sigh.
This seems to be a tv-network site. They are among the worst perpetrators of dreadful writing, perhaps because a low-level employee is attempting to transcribe what was read by an on-air presenter.
I never use it myself but I do enjoy reading some of what people who use it write.
LOL! Excellent observation.
Can you imagine the trauma this little girl is going through? An old fashion spanking would be humiliating and hurt a little but, not traumatic. Actually sometimes I think it’s the parents that need the spanking. More often then not, they enable there children to behave this way.
Excellent piece of sarcasim niteowl177
psssh! Time out is non-sense!
Time out is what a parent takes if they are too angry, take it, then go back and discipline.
Spanking needs a revival, it would be cheaper than all these drugs, relieve the insurance companies of some of all this expensive mental hospital stays.
It would prob’ly slow down people landing in prisons.
I think spanking is a low cost behavior management that’s pretty effective.
Applied properly and without being brutal about it, it makes for better behaved children.
There was some school in SC, I believe, where they brought back the paddle and it made a difference—for the good. I will hunt that story.
Here’s the story...
