You Tube video here:

Guess he decided to release the video early because the content had leaked.

“Social Justice.” he mentions.

Good riddance to the Kennedy era.

I remember when I was 4 watching my mother cry while looking at JFK’s casket on TV. It took 46 years for this day. I’m grateful to see the end of the Kennedy dynasty.

He’s retiring because he knows he is going to get his ass beat.

I seriously doubt that this guy ever disposed of his drug problem and, if that is true, even the Democrats are better off without him. I know that I certainly feel better not having a national legislator like him around. We have enough problems already.

“Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country.” Unfortunately, the best thing he could do for his country was to walk away from Congress and close the door on the fading Kennedy legacy. Sad for him and the Kennedy family, but good for the country.

Bingo. My only regret is that I won't get to hear his concession speech this coming Novemeber. However, his "I'm leaving my 20+ years of 'public service'" speech is adequate consolation.

I remember watching the funeral proceedings, etc on TV for J F Kennedy....I was about 12....I remember my father walking thru the room and muttering about WHY are you watching THAT! He had served in the Navy in WWII, and it wasn’t until much later I finally figured out he was NOT a Democrat (he never talked much.)

Good Bye Patches! Who will take this seat? Who will run in the Dem spot and who will win the Republican spot? Any chance for a pick up?

Good to see the Kennedys retreat from public life.

I wonder what Dad would think about him not running for re-election?

I think Scott Brown drove off with the pick-up. BTW...I heard that Patches was going to start doing restorations on vintage oldsmobiles.

Another thing to thank Scott Brown and his volunteers for.

Scott is like a vampire killer. First Teddy’s zombie ghost and now Patches. Scott pretty much was the coup de grace for the whole evil Kennedy Klan. He finished them off.

After Teddy died the Kennedy klan were like those zombies in the video game Half Life.

We all owe Governor Patterson a debt of gratitude.

He is being punished for that decision by Obamao and his cohorts in the NY political world.

So let me say....thank you Gov. Patterson.

I expect some major Dem will run. Patches leaving like this gives the Dems a much better shot at holding the seat. We really needed him to stay put to win.
