His congressional tenure was marked by repeated substance abuse problems, including a drunk-driving incident in 2006. He entered a rehab facility at that time and again in 2009. IMHO anybody who has had such problems shouldn't be allowed to run. One time I can understand but repeatedly then I don't think they should be allowed to run.

Were he a Republican, his resignation would have been demanded, and mostly by Republicans. But Dems have no standards or principles, so no resignation.
