I didn’t see any police on that tape.
If there had been? Maybe.
But I wouldn’t bet on it.
Next time, kick one of the security guards in the nuts. They will take you into custody - instead of to the hospital.

The victim asked police for help, before she went to the tunnel (they refused), and she approached them again after she had been beaten and robbed, and they were not helpful then, either. The cops aren't on tape "being useless," though, so they'll skate.
Tough lesson for many, if not most people. The police and the public have no duty whatsoever to protect you against thugs. NONE, zero. They can stand by and watch, and the only potential ramification is loss of face. That's it.
They did nothing just before this when the whole attack could have been prevented.
