He's not an Afro-American. Let's start dispensing with that. Afro-Americans have been here since the beginning of the country and grew, and experienced good and bad along with everyone else.

0bama is something from someplace else, who-knows-where, who suddenly showed up with mysterious piviledges. He doesn't look especially pale, and that's all there is.

Here is why I am mystified..

Years ago, an Arab* friend of mine was shooting pool in a college rec room with a bunch of Black kids. One asked him if he was attending some Black cultural event later that day. He answered, "No..I am an Arab...Why would I?"

One of the kids broke his pool cue in half, said, "I'm not playing with a Honkie."

I thought “Ibn-” just meant “Son of”, like “Ben-” in Hebrew. In other words, it means the same thing but the Arabs had to change the spelling so it wouldn’t be spelled the same as their hated cousins, the Jooos.
