Chucky Ogletree is simply projecting his own attitudes regarding black people who get higher education.

Obama will probably throw him under the bus before long.

It’s not racist code.

It’s code for “detached from reality”. And she’s right.

Someone's been skimming their old college sociology texts . According to John Dollard's Caste and Class in a Southern town, white editors and newspaper reporters would use "Professor" and "Reverend" as honorifics for "special" blacks more important than the run of the mill sort. This way addressing them as Mister would be avoided, while still according them more respect than simply referring to them as "Jim Smith" or Jane Doe", as would be the case for pretty much all other black people mentioned in print. But that classic text was published in 1937! To pretend any white person referring to a black person as "professor" is doing so to be condescending is absurd, particularly when the black person in question was in fact a college professor. (Never mind that 1937 was a loooong time ago , and it is now 2010.)

“Professor” now equals “Uppity”?

Academentia, pure, undiluted academentia.

Unlike progressives and liberals, most conservatives do not need to “spin” the meaning of words, ie: code for.

We generally mean what we say. Code words..........that a dem thing. I assure you, whoever this author is, if she meant uppity, she would have said uppity!

Ogletree says Americans are frightened of intellectuals who are Black? I guess that’s why Thomas Sowell receives so much exposure in Big Media. (smirk) Ogletree is a race-baiter from way back. In his very disordered mind, there is no legitimate criticism of a Black leftist.

I’m beginning to believe that calling him less than “Lord of the Universe” will get someone tagged as a racist. What a shame!

It should be noted that Ogletree has been one of the primary perps in the scam to get reparations into court. In this, he’s been joined by the usual suspects, including (below room temp) Johnny Cochran, and the same old poverty-race pimps (you know their names).

And he subscribes to the philosophy of Jesse Jr., who said that he views everything - everything - through the filter of race. It’s a good gig.

Dear Professor Ogleturkey,

Although it may come at the expense of sorely overworked neurotransmitters, please ask yourself this question.

How would you describe a constitutional law ‘professor’, at a lectern, reading Miranda Rights to foreign terrorists while posing as Commander-in-Chief of the United States sworn to uphold the Constitution?

If your answer is ‘uppity’ meaning ‘presumptuously arrogant’, and, dead wrong, you are probably on the same page as Sarah Palin and the vast majority of U.S. citizens.

If your answer is ‘uppity’ meaning ‘he is also a racist’, you are probably right on that count as well.

By expanding your application of the Alinsky Code when framing the question, you should be able to achieve 100% accuracy on all answers.

Calling Obama 'Professor' Is Palin Code for 'Uppity': Prof

I took it as a reference to the lie Obama told us while campaigning. Obama led us to believe he served as a Constitutional Law professor, which we later learned was a lie.

I guess it takes a Harvard professor's intellect to spin Palin's remark into something "close" to racist. Fuel for the fools as it were, because only fools would take another fool seriously.

John Lott in his book FREEDOMNOMICS explains how colleges are filled with angry leftist, liberal, Democrat professors who are locked into their positions forever by tenure.

Freedomnomics: Why the Free Market Works and Other Half-Baked Theories Don’t
~ John R. Lott Jr. (Author)

Two out of 111 University of Oregon faculty who are registered to vote are registered as Republicans
Dan Lawson, a journalism student at the University of Oregon, had this piece published in the Christian Science Monitor:

The University of Oregon (UO), where I study journalism, invested millions annually in a diversity program that explicitly included “political affiliation” as a component. Yet, out of the 111 registered Oregon voters in the departments of journalism, law, political science, economics, and sociology, there were only two registered Republicans.

A number of conservative students told me they felt Republican ideas were frequently caricatured and rarely presented fairly. Did the dearth of conservative professors on campus and apparent marginalization of ideas on the right belie the university’s commitment to providing a marketplace of ideas? . . .

The reaction of faculty at UO was what I would expect.

A professor who confronted me declared that he was “personally offended” by my column. He railed that his political viewpoints never affected his teaching and suggested that if I wanted a faculty with Republicans I should have attended a university in the South. “If you like conservatism you can certainly attend the University of Texas and you can walk past the statue of Jefferson Davis everyday on your way to class,” he wrote in an e-mail. . . .

Another faculty member told him:

“You think you’re so [expletive] cute with your little column,” she told me. “I read your piece and all you want is attention. You’re just like Bill O’Reilly. You just want to get up on your [expletive] soapbox and have people look at you.” . . . .
