Shahid Azmi was gunned down by unknown attackers in his office near Mumbai.
Mr Azmi represented Fahim Ansari, who - along with Sabahuddin Ahmed - is accused of aiding the gunmen who attacked Mumbai, killing 166 people.
Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab, alleged to be the sole surviving attacker, is currently on trial in the city.

Overnight on BBC World Service radio program commentator stated that it's been difficult to sabotage the Iranian nukes project of late, because Iranians used to order all the equipment from foreign countries where it was EASY for both USA and Israel to intervene & sabotage the equipment, but that nowadays Iran is manufacturing ALL of it within Iran.
But you can also read that sentence as he's the only attacker to allegedly still be alive. There is a chance an attacker got away.
But everyone's afraid of being sued nowadays so 'allegedly' is thrown around a ton.
