The morons on the left just keep on revealing how stupid they really are. The “handgate scandal” hasn’t done them any favors, now they try for “braceletgate”.

No originality!!!

From the article:

It may be that wearing a black wrist band with a fallen soldier’s name on it is a common method of honoring that soldier, but a simple internet search demonstrates that that is not the exclusive use of black wrist bands.

The Trophy House sells a black metal bracelet which it calls the Soldiers’ Deployment Bracelet:

Let the world know that your loved one is serving abroad in the United States Armed Forces. These bracelets are currently available in two styles. We have the silver bracelet, made of highly durable .05 gauge scratch-resistant stainless steel. And the black bracelet made of black aluminum. The engraving on the bracelet includes the soldier’s name, the unit served in, and the date of their deployment. These bracelets are guaranteed not to fade. Wear it with pride while your loved one defends our liberties and freedom!

Also from the article:

Update (Ed): C4P says the bracelet isn’t even black anyway, but bronze.

Update II (Ed): Mary Katharine Ham confirms that the bracelet is bronze — with the organization that gave it to Palin in the first place. They also gave one to Joe Biden for his son.

It was not black but bronze, identical to the one Biden has.

I bet 5 bucks that if Sarah sometimes wears a black one, it is PROBABLY for this Wasilla Alaska SSG who was KIA:

The Associated Press

WASILLA, Alaska — Family and friends remembered Staff Sgt. Charles Donald Allen as a natural leader during a memorial service Feb. 11.

They also remembered the teenager crazy enough to walk on the hood of a pickup going 30 mph and compassionate enough to help his terminally ill grandfather die with dignity and comfort.

“He was not alive nearly long enough and I loved him dearly,” Allen’s mother, Kathy Allen, said during the service. “But he served his country, and from the time he was a young boy he wanted to serve his country.”snip...much more at link:

Governor Palin Mourns Passing of Soldier
Mar 20, 2007 – TheSourdough

Juneau, Alaska - Governor Sarah Palin today ordered the state flag to be lowered to half-staff in honor of a Fort Richardson soldier and Dimond High School graduate, who was killed in Iraq. Sergeant First Class Christopher R. Brevard, 31, of Phoenix, Arizona, died on March 16, 2007, in Baghdad, Iraq, from wounds sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his unit.

“Todd and I are deeply saddened by the loss of Sergeant First Class Brevard, and our prayers go out to his family and friends during this time of grief and pain,” said Governor Palin. “Alaskans will be forever grateful for Christopher’s courageous sacrifice. His dedication to his country will never be forgotten.”

Brevard was assigned to 1st Battalion, 501st Infantry Regiment, 4th Airborne Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Fort Richardson, Alaska. Sergeant First Class Brevard is survived by his wife and two daughters, who live in Wasilla. The state flag will be lowered to half-staff on Tuesday, March 27, 2007, to honor and remember Brevard. State flags are lowered for Alaska soldiers killed in the line of duty

Obama wore a bracelet during the scampaign and didn’t remember what name was on it. He doesn’t even wear the bracelet these days. I guess the guy got better.

Why is it that the liberals take every effort they can to smear Palin over even the most inconsequential of things? Could it be they are scared to death of her and that she can galvanize average Americans into opposing liberalism?

If this is all they have on Palin then she is as good as the prsident.

Let’s see. she should not be prez because she has not paid for her underwear. She should not be prez because of the bracelet. She should not be prez because she wrote a note on her hand. Wow! These are really compelling arguments.

At least the guy's apology was straight forward and clear.

Unlike most liberals who make an ass of themselves, his apology didn't include a backhanded dig or an attempt to blame the person they smeared for their own error.

Every time I see the name of this guy Eugene Robinson, I can’t help confusing him with Vicki Gene Robinson.

Do you suppose they are cousins? Or even hatched from the same egg?
