The brain of a cat is too small to have any thoughts, it runs on instinct only.

"...The brain of a cat is too small to have any thoughts, it runs on instinct only..."Well then, it must use that instinct to operate doorknobs. I taught my feral kitteh that skill on accident; she observed me repeatedly opening the door over a few months and began to mimic my actions.
However, that sneaky bastared still can't operate the deadbolt, so I win.
For now.
