I guess the global warming thing has fizzled so they are now onto taxing the banks. Now the banks in turn will just pass the taxes on to the consumer.
To: GreaterSwiss
Fortunately, His Kenyaness assures us this new tax will only be passed on to those making more than $250,000.

Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

Can this tax be imposed without congressional approval?
To: GreaterSwiss
Uh, Mr Brown. Did you forget the last time a Brit tried to tax us? We went to war and kicked your ass and we’re back in Tea Party mode Mother ——er.

as one of a number of options to make sure the contribution banks make to society is properly captured. Yeah, since they don't normally contribute anything useful like jobs, mortgage financing, or business loans.

That's the thing, Thane.
They want to be the ones who define and decide just what those "contributions" are to be, and
how they will be "
properly captured", and for what purposes.
Obviously, what we're trying to accomplish here at FR isn't enough. We now have to promulgate world-wide revolution!!!!
And listen - the term "robber barons" is simply no where near strong enough to describe what their plans and methodology are.
A pox on all of them!

Obama proposes it, the world agrees to it, the Senate will reject it.

Close.
God creates idiots and they can't help it. Zero makes idiotic decisions but he is actually dangerous- due to his apparent inteligence and obvious disdain for God's laws as well as our Constitution. Bad rulers cause harsh punishment on nations. Lucky us.

“Can this tax be imposed without congressional approval?”
Most likely they’ll apply it to international transactions which would bypass Congress. So anything that crosses an ocean would have a surcharge. basically everything at walmart.

This is really starting to look like an international effort to subjugate the population of the world to some bogus band of rulers.
I don't have to think very hard or long, and it doesn't take a strained perspective to envision a substantial revolt among the unwashed around the world as a result of these actions by our masters.
Our rulers might very well find themselves hunted down like dogs in the streets when the common man gets his fill of their bullchit.
