Do you not want any of these people to become citizens?

Do you not understand these people are criminals just by being in this country? They can become citizens only if they comply with existing immigration laws by leaving the country and then waiting in line like the thousands who have been waiting to enter the country, in some cases for years.

You posted an article that is over one year old and LIED about the title just to start a flame war.

From the link you provided:

Do you then favor an amnesty for the 12 or 13 million undocumented immigrants? No, I do not. I do not. Not total amnesty. You know, people have got to follow the rules. They've got to follow the bar, and we have got to make sure that there is equal opportunity and those who are here legally should be first in line for services being provided and those opportunities that this great country provides.

Your Title: Palin for amnesty.

Get lost troll.

I'm lying?

Yup. You titled this thread "Palin for Amnesty" when the interview gives no indication that such is her position.

So you read what SHE said and then decide.

I have. And I have decided that you are a liar.

By the way, whom do you support for 2012?

I don't know yet. But after finding this interview, NOT PALIN for sure. Maybe a true small-government conservative libertarian (with a small "L") who won't turn our nation into a third-world nation.

What everyone sensible is trying to tell you is that it's a misleading misquote of the interview and the words you yourself have posted - "It is so important, yes, that people follow the rules..."

I've heard her then, now and every time in between - the realistic American way "Follow the rules and then everyone can have a chance..."

EternalVigilance is paid to say those things about the competition, he is the party chairman for the 2012 Presidential run of Alan Keyes...

Hears hoping Principle before Party wins the day.

That said, at the same time I assume Mr. Vigilance would indeed know a bit about the tug of war between loyalty and conscience.

Why deny them a chance at citizenship?

Because American citizenship is one of the most valuable things on earth, and you don't give your valuables to thieves and lawbreakers and invaders.

*rolls eyes*

A no go? LOL, you really expected her to say that as his vp candidate?

Has anyone ever done that kind of thing as a vp candidate? You are entering the twilight zone with your nonsense.

Plus you haven't said anything about the quotes given to you on her position have you? How do you explain what she is saying now?

The anti Palin loons are so desperate so they go
to Left Wing sites and Left Wing talking points
to try to prove what has long been established is
false.
If Sarah said the earth is round, the anti Palin loons
will say it is flat.

They know the person they support will never have the support and following that Sarah Palin has.

No politician is for "amnesty." They are for "reform," and "a path to citizenship."

Do you then favor an amnesty for the 12 or 13 million undocumented immigrants?

No, I do not. I do not. Not total amnesty. You know, people have got to follow the rules. They’ve got to follow the bar, and we have got to make sure that there is equal opportunity and those who are here legally should be first in line for services being provided and those opportunities that this great country provides.

To clarify, so you support a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants?

I do because I understand why people would want to be in America...

Amnesty Bill Update

On June 29, 2007 the United States Senate killed the proposed comprehensive immigration legislation, ending chances for President George W. Bush to pass his immigration reform plan--a centerpiece of the president's domestic agenda. Immigration reform supporters garnered just 46 of the 60 votes needed to conclude debate and proceed to final passage. Sixty senators, including 37 of Bush's fellow Republicans, voted against it. Most senators said they had no plans to try to overhaul immigration law before the 2008 presidential election, so it is unlikely that any major immigration bill will become law until 2009. The biggest obstacle was to convince conservatives that the path to citizenship for illegal aliens is not Amnesty. The bill's bitter end has a deeper meaning, as it demonstrated that conservative Americans’ vision for US immigration reform should not include any type of amnesty or legalization for undocumented workers.
http://www.usimmigrationsupport.org/amnesty.html

LARS: The amnesty proposal that was defeated in Congress — in your view, was that amnesty for illegals...

Notice that Sarah didn't answer the question.

... and would you back amnesty for a path to citizenship, as the current president calls it?

SARAH PALIN: No, I’m not for amnesty. Let’s ratchet this down quite simply to remember what we’re referring to. Illegal aliens are called “illegal” for a reason.

No politician is for "amnesty."

We need to secure our borders...

Easy to say and promise, and most of the pro-amnesty politicos say the same thing.

... and I am not for amnesty.

No one is for "amnesty," just "reform," and "a path to citizenship."

And there are humane ways to deal with the 11-13 million illegal aliens who are in our country right now, but if they’re not going to follow the rules, they need to get out.

Double-talk. "Humane" means let them stay, "they need to get out" doesn't mean that the government is going to take any action to force them out.

Thus the reason we are in the position we are as a country. I expect honesty from a candidate, period. I will accept nothing less, and the general electorate as well. People are tired of being told one thing at one time and then another at another time. It's tiring. I don't change my mind over and over, and I especially don't expect those who I hire to lead my nation to do so.

Back of the line requires them to leave the country and wait behind those who have been seeking legal immigration for years. That requires strictly enforcing existing immigration laws to remove those who do not leave voluntarily and fill out the proper paper work with the current system.

I realize that and expect Palin to fulfill her promise....somehow. If she didn't I'd feel betrayed. For now I'd rather assume her word and intent means something more than 99% of the politicians out there.

I’m not projecting, sometimes you even admit that you are a Party Chairman for a party running against Governor Palin’s GOP.

You have even admitted that you were the Party Chairman in the 2008 race of your Presidential candidate Alan Keyes, in his race against the McCain/Palin ticket.

You are at work this very moment attempting to shape the 2012 playing field for your party and the man that will run for the Presidency again in 2012, Alan Keyes, it will be much better for your party if you can weaken Palin and get in a Mitt Romney as nominee for the Republicans.

Considering the fact that “a pathway to citizenship” is amnesty, your headline is accurate.

There are other alternatives to a “pathway to citizenship (amnesty)” besides mass deportation.,
There is no alternative until existing immigration laws are repealed. Oklahoma passed strict state immigration laws and there was a voluntary mass exodus of illegals. Strict enforcement of federal immigration laws will have the same effect making capturing the remaining criminal aliens that much easier.

Do you honestly think people who deliberately violate our laws will have any respect for any other laws? Do you not understand terrorists have entered this county as illegal aliens to destroy the country from within our own borders?
