The Republic is safe for one more day. Didn’t we use to send them back to their day jobs for 6 months a year in the day before Pelosi requisitioned her fleet of booze soused, tax payer financed, Gulfstream Jets and 767s?

Western PA got hit hard by these two storms. Homes losing power, still 32,000 homes without power. CBA news tonite gave Pittsburgh and their snow woes a mention on the evening news.

I work in Washington (not for the government). I could not make it to work today or Monday. I have to use vacation time. Hope to make it in tomorrow but it’s still snowing here in Howard County.

Your income tax is needed to pay for the paid time off of those who don't make it to work.

Now get back to work!

Why do you live in Howard County if you work in Washington DC? That’s really far away.

Howard County is not too far. About 30 miles each way. My wife always has worked in Baltimore (and she hates to commute far). Traffic is normally not too bad the hours I work.

There’s a silver lining in every cloud.

If the feds can’t work, they can’t screw up this country.

There’s another storm forecast for early next week as well.

You’re not out of the woods yet.

Fed employees, Country employees, School employees, City employees. All off WITH pay. Is it becoming idiocy that we all are not “public servants”? Maybe that’s the plan.

Love the weather map....

You’re right. They shouldn’t be all getting off with pay. The private sector isn’t.

Fed employees should have to make up the time over the rest of the year, otherwise they are robbing the taxpayer.

People in the real world either don’t get paid or have to take a personal day off in many cases.
