Although I must say I'm getting sick and tired of these snow blizzards. Looking forward to getting back to work!
Woot!
Amateurs....
What a blessing! Can we extend the snow until November?
Anybody having to use vacation time to maintain their pay?
Totally agree.
The felons cannot rob us when they cannot get to (can’t say work, can’t say work).
May they freeze to death in the dark.
Then may global warming make them rot and stink.
And may the buzzards carry them off to Muzzieland, where their carcasses can rot in the oil-stained sands.
And then, we can do something really bad to the remains.
GOOD! They can’t make things worse if they aren’t working!
YES!
I hope the storm lasts all year.
Well, I guess not EVERYTHING is positive when the gov’t. shuts down...
I am expecting a tax refund. I WAS supposed to get it next Tuesday. Now with the gov’t being closed, it’s been delayed a week.
They haven’t been open since they first started pushing the unconstitutional, socialist health care bill behind close doors.
No, when OPM declares the government closed, all federal employees are paid per normal. No vacation time is used.
I heard for every day they are out they spend 100 million, but it beats every day they are working.
~Snort!
The one time this year that I drive home to MN from OK and I drive through just about the worst winter driving conditions that I have experienced in 30 years. Yeaaaahhh, cars and semi's in the ditch every other mile but I made it 700 miles. ; )
I'm no amateur.
I think in a show of solidarity with our DC brothers and sisters the Washington STATE federal employees should also take the day off.
It’s been quiet around here with no emails and phone calls from Headquarters...
WITH PAY, NO DOUBT!
Shame these bastards aren’t on hourly wages like many of the private sector is.
They aren’t even worth their wages when there is no snow.
Thank god, can we maybe make it a few months instead?
Now I know for sure who works for who.
Welcome to serfdom.
I am more than willing to let them get paid for not working. I think they should stop paying them when they are working.
I work in Washington (not for the government). I could not make it to work today or Monday. I have to use vacation time. Hope to make it in tomorrow but it’s still snowing here in Howard County.
