There is a difference between hunting and killing animals and not hunting and killing animals. There is no relevant difference between hunting and killing whales and hunting and killing deer. Unless you believe that it is ok for your sister to marry one, there is no reason not to hunt whales that does not apply equally to deer or to killing beef.
