4.3? Child’s play.

But 50 miles from Chicago, home of the Corruter-in-Chief and the wellspring from whence his political power arose? Perhaps it’s a warning of electoral shake-up.

Lots of strange things have happened that have negatively impacted the rats. Wexler quit, another guy abandoned ship and changed parties to become a pub, Teddy died and got replaced with a pub. Now Murtha has kicked the bucket and will most certainly be replaced with a pub.

Maybe the Big Guy upstairs is trying to tell the rats something.

True, not a big quake, but the geology on this end of the country gives a much larger coverage than in CA. The New Madrid quake made church bells ring in Boston, 1000 miles away. So any quakes in the mid-west are a reminder that a big one will cause major destruction over a huge area.

The 1994 CA quake (6.7) compared to the 1895 MO quake (6.8).

4.3? Child’s play...

Not entirely. With equal energy release, a quake with deep soils overlaying it can result in more damage to man-made structures than a quake surrounded largely by rock.
