My point--and I have one--is that Steele was put up for "election" largely on the grounds that he was black and the GOP is desperate to show that it is not an exclusive enclave of white people. That he had no particular administrative talents was ignored at the time and now the GOP is finding to their chagrin and regret that he is not the man to lead the charge. He is deficit in those talents and that has nothing to do with his race. Sir.
