Yeah, I thought the Dodge Challenger ad was pathetic. The theme was that the guy is a henpecked powerless loser, but at least if he buys a Challenger (or was it a Charger) he can feel like a real man.

Then again, the truth hurts. There probably are a lot of henpecked losers out there. And they probably do think the car makes the man.

It used to be that the stereotypical mid-life crisis car was to compensate for being poorly endowed. Now the Dodge Challenger is to compensate for being completely castrated.

Then there was the Dove body wash commercial for when you have even forgotten what it was like before you were snipped like an adopted mongrel dog.

Reminds me of an old joke: A new group of male applicants had just arrived in heaven. Saint Peter looked them over and ordered, "All men who were henpecked on earth, please step to the left; all those who were bosses in their own home, step to the right."

The line quickly formed on the left. Only one man stepped to the right. Peter looked at the frail little man standing by himself and inquired, "What makes you think you belong on that side?" Without hesitation, the meek little man explained, "Because this is where my wife told me to stand."
