All surgery has risk, does not mean there was malpractices. The doctors tell you what the risks are, sometimes people just die.
He was an old man, never looked that healthy.
He was part of the 2% risk category.

My husband had orthopedic surgery a few years ago, and you could tell the doctor had had it with the “malpractice” lawsuit epidemic because on the release for surgery, that spelled out all the complications and/or risks, each one was followed with the statement, “OR YOU COULD DIE.” (i.e. you could sustain permanent nerve damage, OR YOU COULD DIE.)

“He was part of the 2% risk category.”

Along with Hoss Cartwright of long ago TV fame. He never came out of the anesthetic after his gall bladder operation.

Just lost my grandfather to that “2% risk category”. Went in for a surgery and and never came out. One of the worst days of my life to date. He was by far and way one of my most favorite people on the planet. Anyway, it was a “mistake” error, whatever, but after CAREFUL and thorough review it did not rise to the level of malpractice. It does happen...
