Need to end the generic game too. Sometimes like with thyroid med the generic doesn't get absorbed as well and the fillers cause mouth ulcers and your hair to fall out. And instead of being tested twice a year you have to be tested 3-4 times a year to make sure it is working. There by raising the cost of your health care.

Reputable Endocrinologist won't prescribe the generic form for these reasons.

Yet ins. companies don't want to pay the few extra cents for the name brand Syntrhoid from Abbot Labs. This is not an expensive drug..a tad over $20 per 30 days supply.

Thyroid is the furnace of the entire Endoctrine system.

And NO ILLEGALS allowed FREE health care!

Yo GailA—Thanks for your comments. I disagree about illegals and don’t forget foreign tourists visiting here. As a Christian I must help those in need. The problem is not so much the illegals, but politicians of both parties not enforcing illegal alien and immigration laws.

America has been the preferred destination for poor and oppressed people with the ambition to better themselves for generations. It is inevitable that some people will always come here illegally. That said at least five things can be done to mitigate the illegal problem:

1. Enforce illegal alien and immigration laws.
2. Secure our borders.
3. Make hiring illegals so painful for companies that they won’t do it.
4. Treat illegals who need medical care and deport them to their country of origin as soon as practical.
5. Amend the Constitution and/or change the law that makes any person born on US soil a citizen—including children born to parents that include an American citizen. Those children’s citizenship would be earned upon the award of citizenship to one or both both parents—as appropriate.
