No the Marines never did get an apology from him after the string of vindications from military tribunals.

I called Representative Murtha’s office after Lt. Col. Jeffrey Chessani was acquitted of charges and asked when Representative Murtha would be seeking out television cameras or appearing on Sunday morning talk shows to apologize for the slander of the United States Marines. She said; “We have no statement on that subject at this time.”
