According to the NCCUSL, they are still pushing the UNIFORM CHILD ABDUCTION PREVENTION ACT (UCAPA) in Minnessota.
They have two bills. SF410 and HF1133
But these two bills seem to be from last years session.
In the Senate Journal on Monday February 8, 2009:
Senators Moua, Doll, Fobbe, Torres Ray and Pariseau introduced S.F. No. 410:
A bill for an act relating to crime; providing for the Uniform Child Abduction Prevention Act; proposing coding for new law as Minnesota Statutes, chapter 518E.
Action: Referred to the Committee on Judiciary.
The House bill HF 1133
Champion and Hayden introduced:
H. F. No. 1133, A bill for an act relating to crime; providing for the Uniform Child Abduction Prevention Act; proposing coding for new law as Minnesota Statutes, chapter 518E.
The bill was read for the first time and referred to the Committee on Public Safety Policy and Oversight.
Is there any action in the current session?
That is a great summary by the way.
