Stunning isn't it? Many people who have given public speeches (including me) have been known to jot a few words on index cards or even on the back of their hands as a mnemonic device.

And yet, Sarah Palin is once again set upon by a snarling, rabid news media who hold this man to no standard whatsoever because they are his virtual house pets and lick his hand daily for table scraps:
