There was no 5th grade audience in the podium room, unless you consider the press to be like 5th-graders. The podium and teleprompters were for a press briefing after the meeting with the kids.
If I were Andrea, I would avoid being in a picture with Sarah Palin and I would avoid doing the hand trick because people might compare her with Sarah doing the hand thing.
Talk to the hand, Andrea. It’s probably the only thing that listens to you anymore.
Unless another wider angle, less closeup photo showing same nobama, same telepromters, same room and the 5th graders sitting in a semi-circle out in from of the teleprompters, was photoshopped, I stand by the comments.
I haven’t seen such a picture. There are two videos, one showing Obama talking with 6th graders without a teleprompter, and one showing him talking to the press with the teleprompter.
Funny thing is this clown can’t take a dump w/o a teleprompter and she gets flack for writing a few notes on her hand?
She had papers in her hand after the speech. It was written down. Nobody in their right mind would go in without notes. Rush can do it but I don’t know anyone else who would dare.

Let’s put things in perspective.
Andrea Mitchell is married to a serial economic bubble blower, arguably THE single person MOST responsible for our economic troubles.
And so she would prefer to direct the public’s attention to something different, such as the predilection of a truly powerful woman — someone very unlike Andrea Mitchell — to write on her hand when convenient.
Sarah has five children :)
