Christian churches fed 'Islam lite'

An expert on the advance of radical Islam in the United States says the Muslim Brotherhood is effectively employing a strategy of presenting "Islam lite" to organizations, including Christian churches.

Dorothy Cutter, coordinator for the Hartford, Conn., chapter of Aglow Islamic Awareness, part of a national chain of Christian fellowships that study how Islamic law motivates Muslims to participate in jihad, said she heard of a United Church of Christ congregation where an Islamic speaker was a guest.

She contacted the church to see if she would be allowed to present some of the harsher truths about Islam.

"The pastor pushed the material back at me and said, 'It's people like you who are responsible for an escalation of the violence,'" Cutter said.

Cutter said organizations such as Hartford Seminary are sending imams "to condition members of the area churches to believe the light version of Islam."

Steve Emerson, director of the Investigative Project for Terrorism, concurred.

"Hartford Seminary is a place that has been compromised by the Muslim Brotherhood, and then there's the Center for Christian and Muslim Understanding at Georgetown University. The center is a de facto arm of the Muslim Brotherhood," Emerson said.

The Muslim Brotherhood is the Sunni transnational movement founded in Egypt in 1928 that has spawned most of the major terrorist movements in the world, including al-Qaida and Hamas. It's aim is to make Islamic law supreme over the world.

In the summer of 1942, when German General Erwin Rommel’s Afrikakorps were poised to march into Cairo, Anwar Sadat, Gamal Nasser and their cronies were in touch with the attacking German force and, with help from the Muslim Brotherhood were preparing an anti-British uprising in Egypt’s capital.[9] A treaty with Germany had been drafted by Sadat, which included provisions for German recognition of an independent, but pro-Axis Egypt, and guarantying that “no British soldier would leave Cairo alive.” When Rommel’s push failed in the fall of 1942, Sadat and several of his co-conspirators were arrested by the British, and sat out much of the remainder of the war in jail.

The Hashshashin, a deadly, secretive and radical religious brotherhood, was founded by Hasan i Sabbah in 1090. Also called the Assassins, they were an elite mysterious Muslim brotherhood. Their name derives from the belief that, before they would complete tasks assigned to them by their leader, they would smoke the narcotic known as “hash.” They were based out of a mountain stronghold on the Caspian Sea at Almut. Most known information about the Assassins comes from Marco Polo's supposed visit to Almut in 1273. All Assassins were radical Muslims who rigorously followed their own sect of Islam known as al-da'wa al-jadīda. All Assassins wanted to be martyrs, and they followed all of their orders, even if the orders led to their deaths. In fact, they called themselves fedayeen, which is an Arabic word meaning "one who is ready to sacrifice themselves for a cause." The name Hashshashin was given to them by their Muslim enemies.

“plagued Islam”

The Brotherhood doesn’t “plague” Islam. Islam is the plague.
