Thanks for the prayers, Kathy - I needed them - almost had a serious accident. Some idiot was overtaking me on an exit ramp and my lane became piled up with snow - fishtailed several times and barely avoided colliding with him.

I’ll wait a little while to see if anyone recognizes the name. In the meantime, a clue:
Not human.

Hey Sand....a scouting question from hoagy62....
Who is Don Juan Pedro Ladino de Philmonte?
My guess...somehow involved with the Philmont Scout Ranch.

Pedro is the Mail Burro of legend sort of a Dear Abby for Boy’s Life Under the Hitchin Post. He’s been a constant since 1958.

DING DING DING!!
Winnah!
Don Juan Pedro Ladino de Philmonte...or “Pedro” as he’s better known, is the mascot and mail-delivering burro of the Boy Scout publication “Boy’s Life”.
The Hitchin’ Post was my favorite part of “Boy’s Life” when I was a Scout.
