A spate of salacious new details about John Edwards affair with Rielle Hunter and his handlers desperate, and possibly felonious, attempts at damage control has become the source of endless talk recently with the publication of the bestselling campaign post-mortem Game Change and former campaign aide Andrew Youngs tell-all, The Politician. Edwards is just one in a long line of ambitious pols to cheat on his wife, and his affair with Hunter shares a number of interesting parallels with the sex scandals of previous presidents and candidates for the office.

A ‘heel’ in pro wrestling lingo is a bad guy.
In an earlier post, I named a few of some of my favorite pro wrestling heels: Terry Funk, Nick Bockwinkel, and Larry Zbyszko.
During their feud in the WWF in the mid 1980s, Terry Funk tried to brand the good guy, The Junkyard Dog, with his branding iron.
LOL. I remember the Funks. They lived near where I grew up in the Texas Panhandle, on a ranch at Umbarger. Anyone remember the big cowboy statue? Had real sewn clothes. The Funks were heroes when wrestling in Amarillo, but villains when wrestling anywhere else. “Rapid” Ricky Romero’s daughter worked for me in the ‘80’s. She told that the better wrestlers were offered the chance to buy championships. I loved wrestling, even though I knew it was fake.
Heel? that’s more humorous to me. “Why you heel, you.” Sort of funny when you say it like that.
So NO...Edwards is not a heel. He is a disgusting, low down human being with no self respect and none for anyone else. He is DONE, OVER. Hope he and his girlfriend live happily ever after. They deserve each other. I will pray the baby has a happy life.
Terry Funk and his brother Dory are two of the alltime greats, as was their father, Dory Funk, Jr. To date they are still the only brothers to win the NWA World Championship, and the only father-son-son combination to accomplish that feat.
I have loved wrestling also since I was a kid, 1975 or so. Been a fan ever since!

I’ll take your word for it. Don’t want to read that blog. Thanks though.
