WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama's counterterrorism adviser says he's not aware of any credible terrorist threats against the Super Bowl.

John Brennan says officials are "very comfortable" with the security measures in place for Sunday night's game in Miami between the New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts.

Fans aren't going to be allowed to bring large bags into the Super Bowl stadium. Also, there will be 100 magnetometers—like those in use at airports—to detect metal objects.

One of my favorite movies. I loved Bruce Dern’s character. Especially the line “if they can do it to me why can’t I do it to them?”

“Obama adviser confident in Super Bowl security”

Translation: no Christians or militia groups will attack the Super Bowl and any attack by Muslim terrorists will be represented by the White House and the MSM an isolated act of a deranged individual.

With what we've seen over the last 12 months from this bunch in the White House I would concerned, very concerned, about the safety of the Super Bowl. Even with Dubya at the helm it was a huge job to protect that event, but with Obama’s team doing it now I can't help but be a bit more concerned.

The last time it was here in Tampa I working in the news photo department of the Tampa Tribune. We had made arrangements for me to drive the two miles or so the stadium at the end of the first quarter to pick up the film that had been shot to that point. I pulled off the road at the closest point to the stadium to wait for our runner to bring me the film. I wasn't there 30 seconds before I was challenged by several guys that came from three vehicles that hemmed me in! I told them what I was doing, they talked to someone and told me I had one minute, not a second more and I had to leave. Nice, but insistent. And the stayed right there until the runner came out with the film. Next pickup we decided to wait until the runner called me from the pickup point!
