CTV: The Mohawk Council is sending out eviction notices to non-natives who live in the South Shore community.

Band councilors say their laws interdict non-natives from living on their land, and so they are giving several dozen people ten days to leave the reserve.

"It's nothing new to anybody," said Grand Chief Mike Delisle.

"[Anyone] who's saying, 'well, I never heard of this, it's racist' or what have you, It's been a custom in Kahnawake since time immemorial."

What does the sarcasm tag look like or do you just say sarcasm?

So, two Mohawk women were working in their garden.....one of them pulls up a giant carrot and says to the other “Dis....Dis remind me of my husband”

The other says “Why because it is so big?”

The first says “No, it’s because it is so dirty”

Hey, free whiskey to the first 5 Natives to stand up for a paleface....

Thank you....thankyouverymuch......

YOU need to read the prior posts to understand but Obama ordained Jackson as his man in the trenches when it comes to what’s racist and what’s not.

You, I and no one else in the US has any ‘official’ say in the matter according to Obama.

He’s our leader and we must follow him since the majority of us voted for him. And as his AG says, anything else borders on sedition!

Okay. You not only agree with his racist rants, you consider him KING. I got it. I don’t agree with it.

Do you agree with his racism because he’s your KING, or is he your KING because of his racism?

I never said he was king. I never voted for him. The world and over 50% of the US thinks he’s king. You need to keep up with current events Pal.

I’m just going by what you’ve said. Don’t blame me if you said things you didn’t mean. You came on here praising Obama, and now your panties are in a wad because some of us noticed.

One of the big problems of what I call “lost identity” is that a lot of people really do have Indian blood but can’t prove it because of early relatives hid the fact because in those days being part Indian was a put down and you were not accepted in the majority of White society. Just as in those days if you had any negro blood you were considered a black person, no matter how small the blood quantum.

I hear you. There are many, many white Americans that have Indian blood but don't know it for the reasons you stipulated above. Like I mentioned in another post, I have many distant Mohawk cousins, due to their white ancestors (and mine too) being captured and integrated into the tribe.

A sarcasm tag indicates that the poster knows that at least half of the people reading the post are to damned ignorant and/or humorless to recognize sarcasm when they see it.

Often, they are the same ones who can not link/differentiate subject and direct object (let alone an indirect object) in a clearly written sentence.

A sarcasm tag has its roots in html. What we're talking about is actually an end sarcasm tag. Typically, we use /sarcasm, /sarc or /s at the end of a sarcastic remark, to make it clear to others that we do not agree with the statement. You can use the full html, but it's more difficult. </sarcasm> (It won't work unless you use the proper html code for the left and right arrows).

example: Indians, blacks or anyone other than white are incapable of being racist. </sarcasm>

Without that sarcasm tag, it means that you agree with the statement.

A sarcasm tag is also used to show that the poster understands that some people are too ignorant to know that there really are people out there who believe the ridiculous things they post.

It’s too much like telling a joke, then asking, “get it? The guy...,” to explain it.

Just tell it/ say it, and move on, ignoring those who have to ask.

Sometimes these digressions turn into to a complete thread highjacking, to the detriment of all.

Now, if somebody keeps on injecting questionable things into a thread, then a kitty-sniffing is indeed in order.

joke? did someone say joke?

Guy goes into a bar, there's a robot bartender.

The robot says, "What will you have?" The guy says, "Martini." The robot brings back the best martini ever and says to the man, "What's your IQ?" The guy says, "168". The robot then proceeds to talk about physics, space exploration and medical technology.

The guy leaves, but he is curious, so he goes back into the bar. The robot bartender says," What will you have?" The guy says, "Martini". Again, the robot makes a great martini, gives it to the man and says, "What's your IQ?" The guy says, "100." The robot then starts to talk about NASCAR, Budweiser and John Deere tractors.

The guy leaves, but finds it very interesting, so he thinks he will try it one more time. He goes back into the bar. The robot says, "What will you have?" The guy says, "Martini", and the robot brings him another great martini. The robot then says, "What's your IQ?" The guy says, "Uh, about 50." The robot leans in real close and says, "So, you people still happy you voted for Obama?"

You mean like continuing to praise Obama, and pushing him as a credable leader?
