I never said you were rude. Simply that your remark was based on facts not in evidence. It’s like trying to prove a negative. You can’t.
This isn’t the first thread on this. An earlier thread had a number of posters who have admitted to giving any number of speeches, and using the same method of crib-noting. I myself have on occasion. It comes in handy.
My points were: 1) It’s not a bad thing; 2) It doesn’t imply the person is incapable of giving a good presentation; 3) It’s not comparable to someone who can’t handle not having a teleprompter (or any crutch for that matter), and fails miserably without it; 4) One can’t prove a negative; 5) I don’t see many, if any, on this board criticizing the opposition for using such a simple tool.
I am not disagreeing with re: Palin using notes. I AM saying had Obama used the same method....he would be criticized by many. I know this from over ten years experience. You may certainly disagree with me. And I never thought you thought me rude. I was simply saying, please do not think me rude. And I thank you.
