AHHH sure! Whatever! We are so divided that we managed to capture...what? 3 wins in the most RED of red liberal communist states....BAWAHAHHAHAHAHHA...yeah, keep thinking that!!! On to victory!
Oh NOOOOO! We’re doomed! Guess I’ll vote democrat.
It is possible to dislike 0 and not be a Conservative
“Palin’s speech does not represent the ‘Tea Party Movement’ it was a ‘GOP’ stump speech”
“The ‘Tea Party’ is an AMERICAN movement! Not party politics as usual!!”
Disagree with the first quote, agree 100% with the 2nd.
Wasn’t Joe out stumping for the GOP and the RINO John McCain in 2008?
Joe the Plumber is not a national leader, he’s just a guy who caught Obama in an unscripted moment. If Joe wants to speak about free enterprise and property rights, so be it. I’ll listen. But he is no one to follow, he is not transformative in the same vein as is Sarah. Look at Michael Reagan’s statement following her convention speech.
Unfortunately Joe, a "movement" by itself cannot nominate and elect candidates to national office. There HAS to be some sort of party structure upon which to base a successful campaign. It's just not going to happen by itself, just like Obama's election did not happen by itself.
As for the Tea Party movement, Read the American Thinker's post today. Great article discussing the movement at "populist" but being careful to define that term. This, he said, is more like prohibition ... no clear leadership, but the people rallying around something they believed was right, but a few years later rallied again to repeal it ... that movement also "populist." The rallying point in this case for the Tea Parties is the Constitution. Democrats and Republicans are like Chevy's and Fords ... the Tea Parties are like fuel. They can make either "go fast" ... but the fuel has a "mind of its own" and makes a decision as to which vehicle to energize.
