Is this for real????

When I’ve given speeches, I’ve always had a part of the speech where I couldn’t remember the next word. I’ve often been tempted to write that elusive word on my hand so that I will remember it when the time comes, although I’ve always been successful just repeating the word over and over until it’s time to give the speech.

So Sarah Palin takes the strategy of writing the troublesome word or phrase on her hand. Criticism of her for it from HuffPo is rather odd, considering they seem to have no problem with someone reading an entire speech from a teleprompter. (Have we ever had another president so incapable of speaking on his own?)

Yep. They are for real in going after her for this. What they missed was Karl Rove hiding in the lectern writing the notes on her hand when she lowered it out of sight.

I had to give a presentation to the high level guys at work the other day. My first one since it’s a new job. Part of it was showing a competitor product in which they copied slightly modified our product name. Talk about stumbling. I barely knew our product name, let alone theirs and also came up with a derogatory version of it.

I had to look back at the Power Point slide and read it.

Next time, I’ll use the redneck teleprompter
