The bottom line is it is not the USA’s job to rescue another countries people when they are perfectly able to do so themselves. Iran did it before they can do it again.
Currently there is Iranian leadership waiting in the wings to assume leadership when the thugs are gone, and the people know it. They also know that leadership was not there before. You just don’t go in with bombs and take out a nations leadership without another leadership ready to assume control.
Why do you think in the first Gulf war we didn’t keep on going and take out Saddam? There was no leadership in place to assume control. Had we done that... you can bet chaos beyond immagination would have occured in that country...Somalia comes to mind.

Agreed. That is why MAD worked. Russians, and I believe now the Chinese, actually care about their women, children and countrymen. You really are clueless, aren't you? Bush Sr. was following a UN mandate to kick Saddam out of Kuwait and stopped once it was achieved - mistake. Bush Jr. marched into Bagdad, still with NO "leadership in place". After some misteps, the surge brought relative peace and prosperity to that country. And guess what? Iraq formed their own leadership. Afganacrap is another thing entirely...so don't go there.
That said, we can debate whether we should have invaded Iraq and I definitely don't believe the USA should be the world police. Somalia? Really?

I don’t know what your beef is in going off the way you have...I am perfectly aware of the Islamic threat there, as well as in the states and worldwide, and the mindset of the Muslim people. You’re barking up the wrong tree.
My son fought in the Gulf war so don’t think for a minute my focus wasn’t on what was going on in Iraq and Kuwait. And there was no leadership waiting in the wings to assume control In Iraq had we taken Saddam out then.
When Bush Jr.. went into Iraq there were those willing to assume leadership and arrived in Iraq to do so...these then galvinized the people to elect their own representatives... and in time they did indeed do just that.

Russia uses the Muslim countries.Muslim countries understand completely the close connection between us and Israel. That’s why they use the terms I mentioned in that post.
