The left's continuous carping about Palin is the best evidence that they are shaking in their boots at the thought of her entering a Presidential primary....

I think at some point they thought they had successfully buried Sarah politically. Remember her resignation as Governor of Alaska was supposed to make her "toast"?

The MSM reporting on both Sarah and the Tea Parties can be characterized as "wishful thinking" reporting-that is, reporting the way they wish things were, instead of the way things are.

I so agree that their war with her is born of fear.

I love Sarah but I thought she was a little off. Not the message, her timing. Like a little miss in a V8 engine.

"There a a lot of pseudo-conservatives (R.I.N.O.'s) that don't feel too good about this as well."

Let's see, how's that book tour going for Mitt? How about Pawlenty's big item of balanced budgeting? Huckabee's TV show? Newt's American solutions program? These guys are off the radar screen. Today, other than Sarah, there is no one in sight. Well maybe Michelle Bachman.

Pawlenty is about to go into all out Political War here. You wouldn’t know it if you weren’t here.

“It was sooooooooo refreshing to hear someone talk about the good things in America again - just like Reagan used to do.”

That, I believe, will be the core message of her campaign.

I loved her message, but I was thinking she could benefit from a speech writer that is familiar with her style to help make her speeches flow a little better.

Exactly. I have been a Palinisto from Feb 2008 and do think her speech, while content-rich and zinger-laden, did tend to wander somewhat. She stepped on some of her best applause-lines and continued a point when the audience was already cheering. This can be refined through practice. What she has is the right content. All she needs to do is edit and rehearse. That's what President Reagan did and it can be done again.

“Seriously? Was this speech better than her convention one? Objectively. Everyone thought the convention speech was great.”

The convention speech was the best speech. Nobody questioning that here. But the convention speech was on script like all convention speeches, and a great script it was. Except for the part where she did the Pitt bull Hockey Mom joke. That was off the cuff because the teleprompter froze - and it was also the best part of the speach - receiving the loudest cheer. Unlike Obama who would of folded if the teleprompter died.

The Tea Party speech was without teleprompter, and if she was going to joke about Obama’s use of one, rightfully so. It was a classic down to earth Sarah Stump speech and the reason people who have heard her in person love her so.

She was the moral compass that the Tea Party needed.

Since the beginning of the Tea Party movement there have been attempts by third parties like Libertarians, and the Ron Paul people, all trying push the Tea Party movement in directions they wanted it to go, that would of only done to the Republicans in 2010 and 2012 what Ross Perot did that got us Bill Clinton. The Sarah Palin way, is the “Build It and They Will Come” approach. Make our voices so loud and clear that we will see a shift to the right in the GOP, and I think we are seeing that happen right now.

Sarah did something last night that no other national leader has done. She gave hope & inspired confidence. [paraphrasing] “Obama’s & the democrat’s policies will be short-lived.”

I keep fantasizing about a Palin/Bachman ticket in 2012. That would be a stunner.

"I love Sarah but I thought she was a little off. Not the message, her timing. Like a little miss in a V8 engine. "

All the wonderful things she said, and you're worried about her "timing". Are you like president of "Toastmasters" or something, Mr/s. critical?

I guess you were so busy listing for gaffs of any kind, you missed the part where she said that "no candidate is perfect"...yeah, probably.

So what do you suggest...Washington insider speech writers, teleprompters...what? Add all that and what do you get, you get a female obama.

This wonderful woman is one of us, she's grass roots. She has been flung onto the National stage with overwhelming support and is wowing them everywhere she goes.

Then there's another guy wanting to know how many times she said, "I", "me" and "my". Well, NOT ENOUGH I tell you. At least she has some accomplishments to tie to that "I", "ME", and "MY". The kenyan has accomplished nothing but being an AA baby to got elected through hook or crook.

Actually, with a mixture of Idaho (birthplace WITH a birth certificate) and Alaska speech patterns, Sarah very often drops her "I", "Me", and "Me" pronouns where they should be spoken. I think that her built-in humility causes that to happen, but it's noticeable. But, I'm looking for a transcript of the speech, and then I'm going to do a word count on those three pronouns, and compare it to l'il barry's SOTU speech...that should be interesting.

If I can't find the transcript, I did DVR the speech and I'll go watch it for the third time and do the count live.

Note to moles, and other liberal invaders on FR, you won't get much mileage out of slamming Sarah here, for (1) you don't have any dirt on her that has not already been spoken and addressed by her, and (2) She is very popular in Conservative circles, and none of it will stick.

But please, DO keep trying...it's good preview for the dirt you'll be using if she decides to run in 2012, and we all know that obama and democrats can't keep any National security secrets at all.

When your man-child pResident can speak as well as Sarah - without a teleprompter - and say something besides "It's Bush's fault"...then we'll listen to your criticisms about Sarah Palin. But last night, she knocked it OUT of the park.

You would do really well to listen more to WHAT a person says, than HOW they say it.

Frank, Frank, Frank...I'm on your side. I mentioned the I, me, my as an allusion to Obama, and to the infrequency of her use of the personal prounoun.

Chill, dude. We're FReinds, here.
