we are well on the way to 30” here in Vienna, not far from the Metro. a plow made a preliminary pass up our street last night, nothing been seen since. it’s still coming down at least an inch an hour.

I have to hand it to the guy in our township. They have been plowing the roads all night and throughout the day. <>We have lots of farmers in our township, and I think hey hired them to plow the roads.
The piles of snow are higher than I am (5'2")If this storm stops by tonight I would not be surprised if we have school on Monday.
...and we have about 20 inches right now.

I was thinking I could get up there on Amtrak or drive to the Springfield Metro station. Of course, Amtrak has shut down [!!!] and Metro has closed the above ground tracks.
Go figure.
