. But notice that they don't say where the birth occurred, nor do they even name the child. Plus someone is making the assumption that the parents are married, since their is no indication of that on the Hawaii Birth Certificate of 1961. Since it was possible to get such certificate for a child not born in Hawaii, the announcements prove nothing. Other than their was certificate filed, but nothing about what was on it beyond father's name, and mother's address.

None of them say where the birth occurred or name the child, that's part of the point. If the announcement originated from Obama's mother or grandmother, as Wonder Warthog had suggested in reply 103, then don't you think they would include that? The notices obviously originated from a single source, probably the agency that records live births. That doesn't necessarily disprove the Birther conspiracy theory of Obama being born overseas and someone registering it for him but how likely is that? If he really was born outside the U.S. what possible motivation would there be for his grandmother to run out and file for a birth certificate within hours of his delivery?

Not probably. Certainly, as the page with teh announcements carries the heading, "Health Bureau Statistics."
