Ok, now you have totally confused me. Do you, or do you not believe what you wrote:

Your original post (#117) reads as if you believe that line.
Your subsequent posts seem to say that you don't believe it.
Perhaps this would have been a better phrasing:
The current administration believes that if it stops creating vast amounts of new debt then our econoomy will immediately spiral into a major depression. They are wrong.

Yes, I believe that the nation will spiral into a deep depression if the Federal government stops spending like a drunken sailor.
No, I do not believe that this is the proper solution to the problem. It kicks the can down the road and makes the ultimate prolem worse.
In other words, Keynes was very, very wrong.
