I just think its a hate crime that enough people wanted a worship circle, got a circle, then had it spoiled by someone who hates pagans.

How can placing something you don't believe in "spoil" your sacred circle? Do you find the Cross "dirty?" If not, simply removing it will take away all that disturbs you, unless there's more to the Cross than you're willing to admit.

Also, who said Christians "hate" pagans? Read the Christian Bible; Christians are called to love.

However, there are many who profess to be Christians but fail to behave "Christ-like."

On this, I direct you to the book of Galatians. If you read it you will learn about the fruits of the spirit. "You will know them by their fruit." Just because someone stands in a garage, that doesn't make them a 1953 Studebaker.

I don’t profess to know much of anything about paganists at all and I don’t presume to tell pagans what makes them a ‘good’ pagan. I am curious why, on October 23, 2004, you said that you consider yourself a Christian as much as the next guy, and now you say you believe in other gods. What caused you to leave your faith in Christ?

Want to have fun? Shake your fist at heaven. Demand the true God to reveal himself. Shout at Him to prove He exists. If you're looking for excitement, I promise you that you won't be disappointed. Believe me; I know.

Heh, I did that too... and got more than I bargained for. God exists and He is Real, and not only that, He gets in your face up close and personal.

I might add I was an agnostic. Not anymore.

The cross was a symbol of the crusades. A symbol of death to those who didn’t worship the word of the Roman church. (and sometimes to those who did) to many nordic pagans, its a reminder of times when people acting in the name of christ would burn people tied to oak trees, or would pour burning lead into their mouths, or force snakes down their throats.

I have no problem with it being everywhere else, but why does it have to be in our place too? Does your religion mandate that you must HARASS everyone who is not part of your faith?

hypocrisy in the church for the most part. I like to ask questions, a lot of people in the christian churches don’t like questions asked that have uncomfortable answers. For some questions I was told by several that they didn’t have the answers I sought and that the church couldn’t help me so I moved on.

The crusades were a harsh, wicked reaction to the benevolent missionary journeys of the peaceful loving muslim followers of the prophet mohamad. Many infidel European Christians wickedly resisted the loving peaceful invasion of the Religion of Peace (patent pending) and the rape and murder it included.

Sorry Sunshine. Without the muslim invasions there would have been no crusades.

So tell me, does the cross have power to disrupt your worship even if you remove it? I've had people walk their dogs on my land. They shouldn't have their dogs "foul" my land. Can you guess how I react? Do you think I declare jihad on all dog owners?. Oh hell no! I remove the feces with a shovel. That's the end of it.

It seems to me that I have an easier time dealing with dog feces than you have dealing with Christianity. Unless of course someone burned you on a tree, poured burning lead into your mouth or forced snakes down your throat. If that happened to you then you certainly have my sympathy! That would ruin my day, let me tell you!

In fact, that sounds an awful lot like the things done to early Christians by the pagan Romans.

More Alinsky?

No. An empty cross made of railroad ties and left lying across a rock is a passive, nonviolent and non-threatening symbol. This one could easily be removed without damage to the area or anyone. While there have been Christians who were threatening toward pagans, there is no reason to assume that Christianity is a danger to any pagan today.

The swastika is only associated with the Nazi Party which perpetrated the Holocaust. If it were to be “thrown” as a piece of cloth, it would not damage the area or anyone physically, but there is no way to associate it with anything other than an attempt to annihilate Jews.

I can certainly understand that relying on human beings for the answers is often disappointing. I don’t look to Christians to tell me how to be a Christian, I look to Christ. (He would never have condoned the Crusades.) I decided a long while ago that I would not let my faith be stolen by hypocrites or legalistic religionists, but have focused on scripture, not mere humans’ ideas of what the scripture says. I have heard that MANY muslims have become Christians because they cried out for the real God to show Himself, and Jesus showed up. Please, give Him another chance and may God bless you.

When you return, please enlighten us about the nordic pagan practice of the "blood eagle."

If you can condemn Christians for the past crimes committed in our name, you should answer for the past crimes of your nordic pagan ancestors.

No one tore down anything. No one burned anything.

Most of the Christians on this forum would remind Mr. Phelps as well as the pagans that our God loved us “while we were yet sinners.” And pray for the same for others.

Granted its MUCH simpler.

That's the thing about science: it should be simple. The simpler the more symmetrical. The more symmetry the more beautiful. The more beauty the more rational. Like rational number.... How much do you know of mathematics?

Would it be hate speech if it was placed on the steps of a synagogue?

No, of course not. The Cross shows the love of Christ for all men, and perhaps in a special way for the Jews, in whose houses of worship He often taught.
