She believes immigrants must come to this country legally and abide by the laws of the land. I see nothing wrong with that.

She mouthed the exact talking points of the McCain-Kennedy Amnesty. She criticized conservatives for not seeming welcoming enough to aliens. And she stated that the door needs to be opened wider.

No one could disagree with that. But what would Palin do about the ones who DON'T come legally and abide by the laws of the land? Would she arrest and deport them? Would she fine or jail the employers? Would she take away illegals' benefits and goodies so that they will self-deport? AFAIK, she has never stated that she would do anything of the sort, and so she probably wouldn't. Saying "They should come legally" sounds all nice and appeases people on both sides, but it's wishy-washy, fence-straddling politican talk. It means nothing.

I see nothing wrong with what she said either. I’ve met a few people here from other countries who are outstanding people. They want to become citizens, but, the cost is very high. No, they aren’t here illegally. Some are married to Americans and some are here on work or school visas.

No where did Sarah say that illegal immigrants should be granted amnesty.
