That’s because I’m not shilling for anyone. I’m concerned about issues, not personalities. I very well may vote for Palin in a primary; I just don’t think this deification of her is very wise, since we still don’t know her stand on a lot of issues.
No, I don’t. Did you see her deny it somewhere, or it debunked? Is it based on the fact that she gave him $5,000, but you’re asserting she didn’t use the word “endorse?” Please explain.
She’s using the same talking points as the McCain-Kennedy(-Bush-Pelosi-Reid-Graham) “amnesty” which everyone swore wasn’t an amnesty. And she’s saying she wants the door open wider. And with 20 million unemployed Americans, do we need more legal immigrants?
Jesus Christ came to earth again and there were 672 posts on Free Republic within the first 24 hours finding fault with his perfection
Funny you should bring that up. It’s the way that Palin is getting treated as if she were the second coming that has me concerned.
I think it is up to you to find the endorsement, not me to not be able to find it.
For Governor Palin to give a candidate her endorsement for an election a half decade in the future, an election that won’t happen until several years after the 2010 elections and even years after the 2012 Presidential election, would be pretty big news and bizarre.
I know that Palin gave/reciprocated with a 1000 dollar donation to Graham in the July following the 2008 election, but I haven’t heard about $5,000.00, where did you get that?
Its the way that Palin is getting treated as if she were the second coming that has me concerned.
If I see this "people ae deifying and worshipping Sarah" strawman fallacy one more time, I'm going to puke.
I see nothing wrong with what she said either. I’ve met a few people here from other countries who are outstanding people. They want to become citizens, but, the cost is very high. No, they aren’t here illegally. Some are married to Americans and some are here on work or school visas.
No where did Sarah say that illegal immigrants should be granted amnesty.
You're not alone.
Interesting that you say that, yet you take the trouble to post threads spreading disinformation about her, if you know so little about her why not just do more reading and less dissemination of fake "facts"?
You use the word deification to describe conservatives support for a conservative candidate, but what is the word for what you are trying to do with this disinformation campaign?
Reciprocated? What had Graham done for her?
Apparently, the $5000 was only $1000. Mea culpa.
Before you keep hacking at things, it would be nice for you to acknowledge corrections.
Are you going to post the news accounts of Palin’s endorsement for the 2014 South Carolina Senatorial race?
What the hell are you talking about?
Show me Sarah proposing the legalisation of all those folks.
Don’t tell me what you heard that she said, show me her saying it!
What source did you use for that post?
Admit it. You tried to imply that Sarah was only giving to "RINO's" when in fact she has given to far more conservatives than you are willing to give her credit for.
You've got issue with her. I can understand that as I don't like politicians as a general rule of thumb. But of the current crop, she is one of the least bad. Heck, she may even do some good.
Just stop it with the blatant BS. It's getting old.
You are clipping from one interview. In others she is quite clear she opposes a blanket amnesty. Look back in the thread. It’s quote three or four times.
And how did the colonists become colonists? I don’t think their families flew in from Mars.
Deny history? Whose denying history? Lame try at deflecting. You’re the individual whom claimed our country was not founded by immigrants, and yet, history reveals that it if were not from immigrants we wouldn’t be a country.
You sighted “truth and freedom”. That’s laughable. And how do you suppose our Founding Fathers instituted this system of government? Furthermore, if our Founding Father families hadn’t traveled from another continent we wouldn’t be here.
Ever heard of Ellis Island? One of my parents parents were immigrants. My spouses parents parents were immigrants. All of them by legal process, I’m proud to say. This is anecdotal, and yet, to deny that throughout our countries history there has been immigration (legal) and that our early history was NOT founded, in part or whole, by these migrants is ignorant.
This country was built, in large part, by immigrants. You’re cutting of your nose to spite your face. Save the overreaction for a lib site. Present your argument in a more balanced, well thought out, and compelling presentation and people will be more inclined to take you seriously.
If this doesn’t provide you with the attention you seek, take a laxative and Preparation H. This will surely clear your head so you’ll be able to think more clearly.
Btw, if you want someone to see post #20 in a thread, you can simply add “#20” to the URL.
I have nothing against Palin, personally. In fact, I was thrilled by her selection as VP, and I would certainly vote for her over McCain, Romney, Giuliani, and probably Pawlenty, You may have put it fairly well when you said she is the “least bad.”... but I wouldn’t even suppose she is at all bad. To make an unfortunately tacky analogy, it’s like everyone wants to buy the hot, new sportscar as soon as they see it in the lot, and I just think we should find out a little more about it before buying.
>>blatant BS <<
The us-vs.-them, if-you’re-not-blindly-stampeding-with-us-you’re-the-enemy mentality is what’s getting old.
And, by the way, I reported the only three donations that were posted on the FEC when I went there. Since I posted, the FEC has published her 12-31-09 filing, which was due 1-31-10, and took a few days to post.
