Now Miley Cyrus's nine-year-old sister launches risqué clothing line for pre-teens

Miley Cyrus's nine-year-old sister is set to raise eyebrows again with news she is launching a clothing line for children.

Noah, who is not even high school age yet, is teaming up with best friend Emily Grace Reaves, eight, and Ooh! La, La! Couture designers for the project.

The two youngsters will release the 'trendy, sweet, yet edgy' designs in time for Valentine's Day.

However, parents may raise an eyebrow or two at the grown-up nature of the slightly risqué designs.

But whatever spin is put on it, some will see the venture as a little perverse.

Back in October, Noah caused controversy when she attended a Halloween party dressed in a black lace-up mini dress with PVC knee-high boots.

She completed her overly grown-up look with a face full of make-up and lashings of red lipstick.

According to CocoPerez.com, Reaves, who played Cindy Lou in Hannah Montana: The Movie, wore one of her creations - a leopard-print mini-dress, lace tights and fingerless black gloves - in a promotional video with Noah.

The style wouldn’t be on the market if there was no demand. I imagine most will be sold in WalMart - Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus lines of clothing and toys crowd the place.
Most of the customers are working class people, so it can’t be blamed on the effete rich liberals.

I’ll throw this in the mix: Yesterday I walked into the grocery store and Amanda Bynes was on the front cover of Maxim. I guess somebody told her that she should “update” her image.

Children can in fact be taught to appreciate true beauty over glamour. But it must be taught very deliberately. Nothing good in this regard happens by accident. How do you want your daughters to dress when they are teenagers? Think ahead. Then dress them that way when you bring them home from the hospital after birth. When they are two days old, dress them that way again. When they are five years old, keep dressing them that way. And you must deliberately train them, explaining what modesty is. Nine year-olds can really understand it, too, if you take the time to lovingly teach them And modesty can be taught anywhere in the world. The young ladies will attract a higher quality of young men, too.

Anything to stay "relevant". That's the most important thing, you know.

I miss the Hayes Commision, and I don't even know what that is. I miss it, though.

...the grocery store and Amanda Bynes was...

Who?

Anyway, did she say how she felt empowered by exposing herself? And some people wonder why some people just don't think highly of the typical bimbos that make up much of the female population.

Wonderful.

Now that is how little girls SHOULD dress.

Oh heck, at the risk of being labeled a prude by the “hip” contingent, big girls, too....

What is Billy Ray’s excuse this time? Are you supposed to believe he can’t control what his nine-year old does?

What sucks is that she once famously said something along the lines of “I don’t get this thing where every child actress turns 18 and says, ‘Look, here are my boobs!’”

Who?

Comedic actress. Was a child star (the Amanda Show) and was once known for rejecting the usual Hollywood party ethic. Starred in the funniest family film ever, Big Fat Liar with Paul Giamatti and Frankie Muniz.

Anyway, did she say how she felt empowered by exposing herself?

Didn't read it.

Cuties! If I were only 50 years younger...

I note the noxious presence of the buzzword "edgy" in the advertising copy. Its actual meaning is "calculatedly offensive." The "edge" it refers to is the limits of acceptability, and it is used when those limits are being deliberately pushed. There isn't anything innocent about this, the people doing it know perfectly well what they're doing.
