Gee, Penn State clears scientist in a situation where, if not cleared, it would have given Penn State a black eye.
Color me surprised.

It is just like the IPCC whose authors investigate their own publications and conclude they are great. The IPCC and PSU are kangaroo courts - the prosecutors are the jurors.

This was to be expected. For PSU to have done the right thing would have been a real surprise.

PSU is the now the most corrupt university in America. Kinda like the mafia investigating itself. His multi million $$ research Grafts have no bearing. How bout we have an outside source review these crooks?

That was *really* strong sarcasm on my part. I should have made it more explicit.
I couldn’t agree more. Totally different issue, but very much like Duke never doing the right thing concerning the railroading of their lacrosse players.

I suspected it was a sarcastic comment and should have made it known. Nice parallel between the Duke charade and this one.
Speaking of railroading. heheh. Looks like the Hindu will not step down either. Whats a few misrepresentation of the facts regarding the Himalaya mountain chain's glacier structure.
A little melt here a little melt there. To think a railroad engineer is running the whole climate show is most troublesome.
The guy reminds me of the poet, what was his name. Oh yeah. Saddam Hussein.

Just think: if you did this, you’d be in jail.
But because he’s a rich lib with powerful friends, this crook is going to F**KING walk.
Good to know that Obama is returning the government “to the people”.....

All I can say is, I’m sure glad I’m not a PSU graduate and I sympathize with those who are.

Note to self: Add PSU grads to Duke and certain other universities’ grads as “those who need to be checked out more carefully before hiring.” I will NOT hire another “Joseph.”

We knew this was going to happen. We said so back in November.
They built an entire college with phony information to get more grants.
Just watch the stories on the Weather Channel. Yep, that's Penn State info.

ACORN was exonerated by their internal investigation as well.Bears repeating:
Mann,Hansen,Penn State, East Anglia, et. al. are to real science what ACORN is to honest government.
To: beethovenfan
He misused tree ring data. He knew that his sources in Yakutia said they had samples only up to about 1850 for Upland Larch.
What Mann did was find some Lowland Larch (from a far different microclimate) and use them for his 1850 to mid 1900s period.
He didn't tell anyone he was using different tree rings from different elevations in different areas yet he knew.
That's because he wouldn't have found the people to get the samples from unless he read their reports in peer reviewed journals where they described the problem.
