The city should cancel all scheduled maintenance in that neighborhood. Too dangerous for city workers. Let it crumble into dust. Also postal workers should not be forced to deliver mail in that area. Once the welfare checks are delivered attitudes may change. No cable tv, no internet, no gas, no electricity, just devolve back into the stone age.
The residents can either live in fear, or take vermin removal seriously.
Better to be judged by 12 then carried by 6.
Oh, right... California.
I keep forgetting that.
We prefer the term "Crimebuster" or "Watchman"...
A type of brandy (distilled spirits).
E&J: A poor grade of mouthwash.
Probably. But at least he’s alive.
I’ve never had any, because I always had the impression that it was terrible stuff.
I watched Steven Segal's Out For Justice last night, and appreciate your feelings. In the old West, the much-villified "Committees of Vigilance" were mostly a response to the non-response of local law enforcement, and mostly did a lot of good.
I would not advocate that! HOWEVER, the day may come when it is the only morally decent thing to do. For example, if Mexican drug-violence continues to spill over into our country, and/or our own culture keeps heading in this direction.
Yes, but it depends on what county you are living in as to whether you will get one or not. Vallejo doesn't give out permits, it is part of the Bay Area and as such you are pretty much limited to not carrying or carrying illegally. I am lucky enough to live in a county the does issue permits and, of course, the crime rate in this county(and others the issue permits) is lower than the average rate in CA.
But they are very, very, very hard to get.
And buying guns isn’t easy either.
i saw that on the tv a few years back...its simply amazing how a lil ‘parenting’ from some older bulls quickly whipped those youngsters into shape [and saved one ‘bad boys’ life] from the executioners needle...
In your about page you note you are a pilot.
I fly an RV6A.
I was curious what you fly and if you are current?
Duh! Am not current. I flew a Piper Tri-Pacer. My wife flew a Sukhoi SU29. We sold those when we bought a farm/equestrian center a number of years ago. Got too busy to stay current.
Did you build the RV? I think that they are pretty cool. I can’t recall if the 6 or 8 is the two seater.
6 is a side by side.
at about 70 percent it flys about 148.
I did not build it.
Full instrument panel and loads of fun.
Can go about 4.5 hours before I start looking for a gas station.
Best thing I’ve done lately with it was to go up to Sebastian at about 10,000 to watch a shuttle take off with my son.
WAAAAAY cool.
I went over there and read the comments. "Wow" is right. With the exception of the asshat who fancies himself as Billy Jack, the outrage is nearly unanimous.
I’m not suprised, the American Left (read Democratic party) is a conglomeration of small cults more often or not completely at odds with one another. This requires more Political Correctness to hold it all together than we can imagine, I’ve seen it first hand at their sites where the acrimony can reach some very high levels.
“WAAAAAY cool.”
Well, yeah.
I always planned my flights in the tri pacer at 4 hours max. I think that the fastest I ever got her to go was 130 mph ground speed, and that was with a pretty good tailwind.
I had a Johnson bar for brakes, and two position manually activated flaps. No VOR, but I had a whiskey compass, and lots of windows to look out of. VFR only. If I had the slightest doubt about the weather, I didn’t fly. I was a pretty big coward.
She had a pretty good radio, a CD player, and a GPS. The radio had head sets and the CD player would cut out when ever I talked on the radio or there was radio traffic.
It was perfect for fly-ins. My wife and I would pack a cooler, the tent, sleeping bags, etc in the back seat and off we’d go for a weekend of camping under the wing someplace with friends. It was pretty cool.
